Abstract

Kaemferia galanga is one of five of plants that were developed as a Indonesian original medicinal plant that can be used as a drug to treat various diseases including analgesic. This study aims to determine the analgesic effect of kaemferia galanga infusion against white male mice and to determine the most effective dose. Kaemferia galanga infusion method was infundation method. Analgesic test methods was tail-flick. Test animals were divided into 4 groups, each group consisted of 5 mice. First (negative control) CMC, second (infusion of kaemferia galanga 0,30 g / 20 g BW dose), third (infusion of kaemferia galanga 0,60 g / 20 g BW dose) and fourth ( infusion of kaemferia galanga 0,90 g / 20 gBW dose). Heat resistance of the mice was calculated for three times replication. Data were analyzed with ANOVA statistical premises level of 95% followed by Tukey's test to determine the average amount of time the heat resistance of the mice. The results showed that the kaemferia galanga infusion analgesic effect on white male mice. The most effective dose analgesic of kamferia galanga infusion is 0,30 g / 20 g BW.
