Abstract

Methil salicylic used to analgetik, carminative, diuretic, treat arthritis, preven loss of hair, an antiseptic and antelmintik, while in industry, used as a mixture of for perfuming in making a drink, perfume, drug, candy and toothpaste. Methyl salicylic can be made preparation cream. The addition of phase water causes the preparation cream become liquid. That preparation does not melt so addend paraffin liquid with the vriation of the base. This study attepmts to make creamy methyl salicylic with the base paraffin liquid as a thickener to know test the quality of physical and stability cream. The manufacture of cream use anolmetode the manufacture of cream type M/A. Next each tested organoleptik, viscosity, power spread, attaching power and pH. Next cream was observed during 3 weeks. After the data is analyzed using the observed statistical tests one way ANOVA continued test TUKEY The results of the study showed methyl salicylic can be made preparation cream with use base of the paraffin liquid. Cream methyl salicylic with the variation of the base paraffin liquid meet the quality of physical test and the stability in period of times storage for three weeks.
