Abstract
Chemical blood examination, particularly glucose is usually done by using a liquid serum as specimen. Serum is a separated liquid after blood clot or freeze. The accuracy of blood glucose test results are influenced by many factors, including Pasian preparation, sample collection, sample preparation and the use of examination methods to measure the blood glucose levels. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there are differences in the results of blood glucose GOD-PAP method by using centrifugation and non centrifugation serum. This research was an observational study with cross sectional approach. The results of glucose was examined by centrifugation non centrifugation serum, and then statistically analyzed by using SPSS. Based on normality test, the p-value of non centrifuged serum is 0.241 and centrifuged serum is 0.371. The p-value is more than the level of significant p> 0.005 which means that the data are normally distributed then continued with Paired samples t-test. Based on Paired samples t-test indicated the significant value by 0:00 p value <0.05, means that the there is a significant differences on the average of glucose levels examined by using centrifuged and non centrifuged serum.
