Abstract
Some of hospital and laboratories used the hexokinase method and the strip way to check glucose. There are many ways of strip, one of those is dehydrogenase mutant. Strip way is cheap and practical, hexokinase method is suggest by WHO (Word Health organization) and IFCC (International Federation Clinical Chemistry). The purpose of this research is to know the different of blood glucose by using a dehydrogenase mutant and hexokinase method. Research method use the observation analytic design with cross sectional approach. To take a sample method used a propability sampling as much as 30 samples. Statistic examination used kolmogorov-smirnov, the data have been proved as a normal distribution so can be continued by examination Independent sample t-test. So, the result can be significant α=5% (p>0,05), confidence interval 95%. The rate of blood glucose by using dehydrogenase mutant method is 99,43 mg/dL, and the rate of blood glucose by using hexokinase method is 96,10 mg/dL. This research based on the statistics show that the observe of the degree of blood glucose by using dehydrogenase mutant method and hexokinase method is same with probability 0,303>0,05. For further research using a type of venous blood sample or capillary blood and strips with different methods. Key words : blood glucose, dehydrogenase mutant, hexokinase method
