Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic disease with characteristics hiperglikemia that occursdue to an abnormality of thesecretion of insulin, insulin work or both of them, which gives rise to the complications chronicle. Diabetes mellitus has become one of the most disease causing chronic kidney disease. The level of creatinine in the blood is one of the parameters used to assess renal function, due to the concentration in the plasma and excretion in the urine within 24 hours is relatively constant. Serum creatinine levels greater than normal values indicate the existence of impairment of renal function. Uncontrolled diabetes will cause chronic complications so that glycemic control needs to be done, namely examination of glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) where a controlled DM with a cut-offvalue of <7% anduncontrolled DM ≥7%. The purpose of this research was to know the compare of creatinine levels in patients with type 2 diabetes controlled and uncontrolled. This research creatinine levels were controlled and uncontrolled in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus by the number of subjectis 58 samples. This type of research is observational with cross sectional approach. Results showed from 58 subjects of the creatinine levels in a controlled glycemic control at 1,2±2,3 and the mean Creatinine levels on glycemic control in uncontrolled at 1,05±1,3. The resultfroman Independent T-test is obtained probability 0,064, because the probability of > 0,05, weconclude that there are no significant differences between creatinine levels in patients with type 2 diabetes is controlled and uncontrolled.
