Abstract

Performance is the result of work by the employee in performing the duties in accordance with the responsibilities given to him. Protective tools Themselves is an important factor that determines the Safety of work at institutions including in hospital laboratory. This study purposed to test its influence there is not in self Protective Tools on performance in the laboratory clinic in the PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. Population research is laboratory pranata clinics in PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. Nonprobability sampling techniques using, methods used the Census sampling in which all members of the population sample was made. The results of the data analysis concluded that Protective Tools Themselves indirectly influence on performance through safety. This can be evidenced by the value of the variable on the significance of self Protector Tool 0.05< 0.000 and values significance on a variable safety 0.038 < 0.05 which means that significant value. Beta values on the variable Self Protective Tools decline from 0.708 into 0.571 this may imply that safety was able to mediate the relationship between Protective Tools on performance but only partially.
