Abstract

The effect of long-term OAINS use is that it can generate ulcus pepticum. The simplicia of wild ginger, turmeric gingers, guava fruit and sambiloto leaves can be used as anti-ulcer. This research aimed to conduct a screening test on such the simplicia to compare the best simplicia as anti-ulcer effect. Such the simplicia was prepared in the form of extract because it provides protection against stomach mucosa and it was extracted in order to be more applicable within the society. The rats were divided into 7 groups: normal control, negative control, positive control, and four treatment groups. Each group consisted of 6 rats, all of which were given natrium dichlophenac induction of 40 mg/200 g rat’s BW on the first day and of 0.45 mg/200 g rat’s BW on the days- 2 and-3, coupled with healing therapy using simplicia extract conducted by screening test and in positive control group the rats were given sucralfat suspension per oral, except in normal and negative control groups. The result was analyzed macroscopically and microscopically. Then, Kruskal-Wallis statistic and Mann-Whitney tests were conducted. All juice can provide antiulkus effect unless the fresh juice of bitter leaf.
