Abstract
Procrastinate phenomenon known as procrastination. Procrastination can be said to be a form of escape from duties, which caused displeasure to the task and the fear to failed in the task. Intimacy is a someone behavior adjustment to express their need to others. This research method is quantitative research methods, using two scales, namely: procrastination scale and intimacy between friends scale. This research subject is the final level students in Setia Budi Surakarta University. After the trial process, procrastination scale consists of 70 items with α = 0.932 and intimacy between friends scale with α = 0.929. Both were subjected to the 53 final level students in Setia Budi Surakarta University. The result showed that there was a negative significant correlation between the intimacy between friends with procrastination behavior of the final level students (r xy = -0.398, p = 0.002 (p <0.01). It’s means, the hypothesis that acceptable existence of a negative relationship intimacy between friends with procrastination behavior. This relationship indicates that the better intimacy between friends, then the final level students procrastination behavior in the lower level. Intimacy between friends effectively contribute 15.8% against the procrastination behavior. This figure shows that procrastination is influenced by other variables as much as 85.5%.
