Abstract

Moringa leaf is a traditional medicine society that has been used to treat various diseases. Moringa leaves have the content of flavonoids, tannins and saponins which have activity as an antifungal. In this study, moringa leaf extract is fractionated with n-hexane, ethyl acetate and water is used as an antifungal against Candida albicans. Extraction is done by soxhlet using 70% ethanol and followed by fractionation. Solvent fractionation using n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and water. Experiments carried out dilution method with a concentration of 50%; 25%; 12.5%; 6.25%; 3.125%; 1.56%; 0.78%; 0.39%; 0.195%; 0.098%. The results obtained from this study is the ethanolic extract, ethyl acetate fraction, and water fraction have antifungal activity against Candida albicans. The results of the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration and Minimum Concentration Kill ethanolic extract, n-hexane fraction, and water fraction has the same result is 25%.
