Abstract

This research aimed to explore the correlation between emotional intelligence and aggresiveness in adolescent supporters of Persis Solo (Pasoepati). The hypothesis is the existence of a negative correlation between emotional intelligence and aggressiveness in adolescent supporters of Persis Solo (Pasoepati). Subject in this research were member of Pasoepati B7 aged between 18-22 years. This research took 50 subject. Measure instrument that has been used was Emotional Intelligence Scale and Aggresiveness Scale. Data Analysis that has been used to test the hypothesis was correlation technique of Karl Pearson Product Moment by using SPSS 17.0 for Windows Release. The result obtained by analysis of the correlation coefficient (rxy) 0f 0,609 with p <0.01, meaning there is a significant correlation between positive emotions intelligence and aggresiveness in adolescents supporters of Persis Solo (Pasoepati). Because there is a positive correlation then the hypothesis proposed by researcher is denied, a lot of factors that affected the result of the research, and one of them was because the research was conducted to a group of supporters so that the subject completed the questionnaire no longer as himself, but already as a Pasoepati.
