Abstract

The implementation of inventory control is very important for business entity that intend to support decision making in order to obtain optimal inventory. Object of this research is PT. Budimas Makmur Mulia, a company located on the Gunung Slamet road, Mojosongo, Surakarta. The problems exist in PT. Budimas Makmur Mulia is it often excess or even shortage inventory because in ordering product, PT. Budimas Makmur Mulia only based on intuition based on the previous month’s demand. Type of product that will be discussed in this research is product from PT. Inacofood. This research applies Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) with All Unit Discount method to manage the inventory to avoid excess and lack of inventory in warehouse and minimize inventory cost. The total inventory cost by using company actual method is equal to Rp.4.195.908.920,-. After the calculation by EOQ method, the total cost is smaller than using the actual method that is equal to Rp. 4.176.099.142 ,-, with the total cost difference is Rp. 19.809.778,-.
