Abstract
Medicines and medical supplies is an irreplaceable component in health care. Access to medicines and medical supplies , especially of essential drugs is a human right, thus providing essential medicines is also an obligation for the government and health care institutions , both public and private sectors to support the health service. It is necessary for proper management , efficient and effective by the officer in the central / provincial / district / city. The research objective was to determine the management of drugs that includes selection, procurement, and distribution in drug storage Health Department and management of drugs in health centers manado region include the use of drugs. The study was conducted by a descriptive design using retrospektive and concurrent on drug management in drug storage et Manado period 2014 as well as the calculation of the indicators, variable drug management is done starting from the selection, procurement, distribution and use. The data obtained are described based on the evaluation and based on interviews and then compared with the standard according to the WHO, Depkes 2010 and Pudjaningsih. The evaluation results show that in 2014 the indicators are in line with the indicators set, such as: the percentage and value of drugs that damaged (0%), drug arrangement system in the warehouse (100 % according FIFO) and, the percentage of physical compatibility of drugs with notes (100%). As for the indicators that are not in accordance with the specified indicators, such as : accuracy level of drugs item with Fornas I (47,6%), drug charge per person in Manado (Rp.7.551), the percentage allocation drug procurement (3,9%), level of drug supply (<12 months 4,6%, 12 – 18 months 16,2% and >12 months 79,06%), the percentage of dead stock (20,9%), the persentage of stock out (10%), polypharmacy (3,4 item), the percentage of non-prescription drugs on average (12%), the percentage of antibiotic use in non -specific diarrhea (44%), the percentage of antibiotic use in ISPA non pneumonia (54%). Also management support is not in accordance with the existing policy. Key word : Evaluation, Drug Supply Management, Drug Storage Manado
