Abstract
Diabetes Melitus is a chronic disorder very dependent of patient compliance that can be viewed from control of blood glucose and having an effect on therapeutic cost.The objective of this study was aims to know about patient compliance and influence compliance effect on control of blood glucose and therapeutic cost. The analytic study was performed on outpatient in RSUD Dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangkaraya Kalimantan tengah between February – April 2015 which the criteria of inclusion. Criteria of inclusion is new patients or old patients diabetes melitus type 2, patients with diagnosis of diabetes melitus type 2 with comorbid or without comorbid; hypertension and dislipidemia. Patient compliance was measured by MMAS. The influence of blood glucose control viewed with Chi Square. The cost calculated are cost of diabetics, cost of drugs, cost of laboratory examinations, and cost of admininistration.The influence compliance of therapeutic cost was measured by Independent samples t-test. Research result can be concluded from 46 patients, composed of 28 obedients patients and 18 disobedients patient. There is the influence compliance of blood glucose control with P = 0, 000 < 0,05. There is the influence compliance of therapeutic cost has shown on patient diabetes melitus type 2 with dislipidemia (P = 0,007) with total cost of average per patient obedient Rp 740.100 ± Rp 384.383 and total cost of average per patient disobedient Rp 4.138.900 ± 77.145, while in DM type 2 without comorbid and DM type 2 with hypertension there’s no influence Key words : diabetes melitus, compliance, therapeutic cost, MMAS, RSUD Dr. Doris Sylvanus.
