Abstract
Drug management in hospital consists of selection, procurement, distribution and use; the result of preliminary observation conducted found such problems as planning and procurement of drug requirement that has not been conducted efficiently, and no evaluation on JKN (National Health Insurance) management in Banjarbaru Local General Hospital. The objective of research was to find out the performance of drug management in pharmacy installation of Banjarbaru Local General Hospital in JKN age including selection, planning and procurement, distribution and use compared with standard value. The research design employed was descriptive one that was evaluative in nature using retrospective and concurrent data. Retrospective data was obtained through tracing the 2014 document encompassing drug use and planning report, financial report, drug procurement report, invoice, stock opname report, expired drug report. Concurrent data was the one obtained during research including average prescription service time, stock card/computer and interview with corresponding officer. The data were analyzed using indicator of drug management, the result of which was then compared with standard value and supported by the result of interview and questionnaire. The result of research was inconsistent with standard including: selection stage, the compatibility of JKN drug to Fornas II (47%); planning and procurement stage, and procurement of each item of drug per year (4 times), and the compatibility of drug procurement to e-catalog (71.64); distribution stage, Turn Over Ratio (5.95 times), dead stock (6.51%), and drug availability level (43 months); drug item number use stage per prescription sheet (3.2 items), and prescription with formulary drug (83%).
