Abstract

The combination of antasida that is often used is Aluminum hydroxide (Al (OH)3) and Magnesium hydroxide (Mg (OH)2). Al (OH)3 and Mg (OH)2 in this study were made in the preparation of chewable tablets. This research aims to know the influence of thevariation of concentration of manitol and lactose are against physical quality tablets and responses to taste as well as knowing the formula that best of the third formula. Chewable tablet antasida created using the method of wet granulation. Manitol concentration a comparison of levels of lactose is made with 25%: 75%; 50%: 50%; and 75%: 50%. The resulting granules are tested flow time, angle of repose, and drying shrinkage. Physical quality test tablets include: uniformity of weight, hardness, crushed time, fragility and responses to the taste. The data obtained and analyzed by anova at 95% confidence level. Chewable tablet antasida test results in comparison with the higher concentration of lactose that has high hardness but the timing of the destruction is faster and less sweet tablet taste, while the tablet with a higher concentration of manitol have lowviolence but the timing of the destruction is longer and taste the sweet tablet. Tablet with manitol and lactose concentrations of 75%: 25% formula is best because it has a sweet flavor tablets and tabletnya not too hard.
