Abstract

Diabetes mellitus type 2 (type 2 DM) is a metabolic disorder diseases are on the rise in blood sugar by Mark due to a decrease in insulin secretion by pancreatic beta cells and or malfunction of insulin. Diabetes mellitus type 2 is the most common type of Diabetes mellitus type 1. One of the treatment of type 2 Diabetes mellitus with oral hypoglycemic medication therapy. The purpose of this research is to know the magnitude of the differences in the use of glibenklamid and metformin oral antidiabetic drugs on as outpatients in Pandan Arang Boyolali Hospitals. Research carried out using secondary data collection methods the use of oral antidiabetic medication metformin with glibenclamid and observe drug use report glibenclamid and metformin each month on outpatient Pharmacy Installation in Pandan Arang BoyolaliHospital which started from January-June 2014. The data obtained were analyzed by t-test (Independent samples t-test) using SPSS 18. Results of data analysis oral antidiabetic drug use glibenclamid and metformin shows there is a significant difference. This is corroborated by the existence of data use of metformin as4764 tablets and glibenklamid 362 tablets. Results using SPSS 18 ,t test table, Sig. (2-tailed) sig acquired 0.000< 0,050 so H0 is rejected . So there is a significant difference in the use of glibenclamid and metformin use as oral antidiabetic mellitus as medicine.
