Abstract

Stroke is a disease or functional disorders of the brain in the form of nerve palsy (neurologic deficits) due to blood flow inhibition to the brain. The stroke was divided into two major groups, namely bleeding stroke (hemorrhagic) and non-bleeding stroke or ischemic stroke or infarction due to blockage on brain artery. This study aims to determine the pattern of anti-platelet drug administrated for ischemic stroke patients and the suitability of the anti-platelet drug administrated for ischemic stroke patients in the ward installation of Panti Waluyo Hospital of Surakarta in 2014 against to the hospital formulary. The study method was used descriptive non experimental. The obtained data were processed and entered into the table by using Microsoft Office Excel 2007 in order to get overview patterns of anti-platelet drug administrated. The obtained data was shown that patients with ischemic stroke diagnosis are 51 patients. The most frequently of anti-platelet drugs administrated in the Panti Waluyo Hospital is (1) Clopidogrel, (2) Aspirin. The drug administrated is in conformity with the hospital formulary.
