Abstract

GERD is a gastrointestinal disease that have a negative impact on health related quality of life and work productivity . This disease also causes significant economic impact due to the cost of long-term treatment . The purpose of this study to determine the prevalence of GERD, GERD costs in 2013 and the suitability of the INA - CBG 's costs. Type of research was an observational cross-sectional study design according to hospital perspective. Data was collect restrospectively of patient treatment cost data. Subjects were patients GERD inpatient and outpatient care in hospitals Dr. Abdul Rivai in 2013 that met the inclusion criteria. Data were analyzed descriptively include patient characteristics and disease costs GERD and test one sample T-test to determine the suitability of the tariff costs GERD INA-CBG's. Based on the results of this study showed the prevalence of GERD hospitalizations Dr. Abdul Rivai in as many as 100 patients and outpatients as many as 110 patients. The cost of GERD in outpatient was Rp33.339.004,- the cost of GERD inpatient was Rp123.722.138,- and the total economic burden of patients GERD in 2013 were Rp157.061.142,-. The average real cost of GERD inpatient jamkesmas was Rp851.741,03 (n=36) not exceed INA-CBGS's rate Rp1.607.875,- and the average real cost of outpatient jamkesmas was Rp218.047,33 (n=30) not exceed INA-CBG’s rate Rp252.595,-.
