Abstract

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways characterized by episodic wheezing, coughing, and tightness in the chest due to airway obstruction. Antiasthma drugs used include the class of β2 agonist, Methil xanthin, and Corticosteroid. This study aims to determine the drugs used as antiasma and percentage of the most widely used asthma drug. The study was conducted by using secondary data collection method of antiasma drug usage by observing the usage of medication antiasma every month in medical record unit of dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri which started from January to December 2017. The data obtained were evaluated by nonexperimental descriptive method that is by taking samples of data in a restrospektif. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling from the total sampling of medical records records of patients with asthma. The results showed antiasma drug used in Outpatient Installation RSUD dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri is salbutamol, aminophylline, theophylline, metil prednisolone and the most widely used in asthma patients is group β2 blocker that is Salbutamol equal to 57,43%.
