Abstract

Antibiotics are anti infection drug that drastically has reduced morbidity and mortality of infectious diseases, so its use is increasing sharply. In line with the antibiotics become the most commonly abused drugs, thereby increasing the risk of drug effects, resistance and cost. Irrational use of drugs such as antibiotics use in acute respiratory infecion is a serious problem in health center, because the impact is very broad. Irrational use of drugs that will be able to resultin reduced drugs benefits and even disappear altogether medicinal benefits,even more distant possibility of the emergence of risky side effects, and increased healthcare costs. This type of research is descriptive research with a retrospektive, where researchers conducted observation of research variables by looking at the recipes are already there when collecing data to look for relationships between variable. The result of this study,the use amoxicillin for respiratory patients in the outpatient Saradan Health Center is the first choice for amoxicillin rapidly and well absorted in the gastrointestinal tract and does not depend on the presence of ffod in the stomach.Availability of amoxicillin in considerable amounts in the health center also affects the pattern of antibiotics use compared to others. The use of antibiotics in outpatient saradan health center in 2012 was not in accordance with the Guidelines on the Treatment of Primary Health Center 2008. Keywords: Antibiotic, ISPA, Amoxicilin
