Abstract

Mole Crab (Emerita emeritus) is marine biota often be found in shallow waters of the coast. The content of omega 3 (EPA dan DHA) in mole crabes can give an increased effect memory. The purpose of this research is mole crab (Emerita emeritus) can give the effect of increased memory. The methods used are passive avoidence test, each group consists of 6 test mice are divided in 5 groups. The principle of a method of the passive avoidence test, namely instrument consists of compartments of light and dark compartment separated by partition that connects two compartments. Mice entered passively into the darkened compartment contained electric shock (1,125 mA) from the light compartment bounded latency time of 300 seconds. The result showed that effective dosage granul mole crab who can give the effect of an increase in memory is 39 mg/20 g BB (equal mole crab 29,25 mg) follow the dosage26 mg/20 g BB (equal mole crab 19,75 mg) and 13 mg/20 g BB (equal mole crab 9,75 mg).
