Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is metabolic disease characterized by the high blood sugar. Blood sugar, if not controlled with good will to cause annoyance or damage to systems of the body which is called by a complication. Complication not only causing disturbance of function of the body but can cause amendments to the high cost of treatment and patient DM the value of the quality of life. This research aims to understand the influence of complication about the cost of treatment and quality of life patients DM hospitalized for treatment at RSUD Undata Palu. This study using methods observational crossectional. Data taken in concurrent and purposive retrospective with using a technique of sampling .Research material used that is the result of the questionnaire DQLCTQ patients , medical record , and the cost of medical exam directly. The subject of patient inquiry diabetes mellitus with or without a complication treated treatment at RSUD Undata Palu. To know the difference in value the total cost of the treatment of the quality of life and the average score analysis anova used one way The result showed that the average cost of total patients DM without complication, complication makrovaskular, mikrovaskular and complication makrovaskular and mikrovaskular. Namely Rp. 1.839.057,72, Rp. 3.532.907,84, Rp. 5.142.210 and Rp. 5.839.097. This is also a complication the quality of life causes the difference the average value of patients DM without complication with a patient complication DM hospitalized for treatment at RSUD Undata Palu. Key words: Diabetes mellitus, complications, treatment costs, quality of life, DQLCTQ.
