Abstract

HIV or Human Immunodeficiency Virus, is a virus that attacks the human immune system. Therapy aimed to suppress the amount of HIV virus in the body namely antiretroviral therapy (ARV) should be consumed properly and regularly. Adherence to consume ARV determines how good ARV treatment in suppressing the amount of virus in the body. This research aims to know the antiretroviral treatment adherence (ARVS) and to know the existence of the corelation between the educational level of compliance with antiretroviral (ARV) treatment in patients PLWHA (people living with HIV/AIDS) in the UPT Puskesmas Manahan Surakarta. This research uses a non-experimental quantitative research design using descriptive observational methods. Place and time of the research was conducted on the UPT UPT Puskesmas Manahan Surakarta in may 2018. Sample research are 90 PLWHA with HIV patients. Data collection using queisioner and secondary data in the form of a patient's medical record PLWHA. The data was processed using SPSS applications version 18. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the adherance of patients included high adherance are 20 people, then medium adherance are 47 people. lowadherance are 23 people. Basedon Chi-Square Test can be concluded that there is no correlation between the educational level with adherance of antiretroviral(ARV) treatment in PLWHA (people living with HIV/AIDS) in the UPT Puskesmas Manahan Surakarta.
