Abstract
Hand-washing liquid soap (handsoap) antibacterial soap is an additional chemical compounds used to kill or inhibit the growth of microorganisms on living tissue like the surface of the skin. This research aims to know the antibacterial activity and compare antibacterial activity is most effective on samples of hand-washing liquid soap (handsoap) antibacterial brand "X", "Y" brand, and the brand "Z" of the bacteria Salmonella typhi ATCC 14028. Research done by the diffusion method using paper discs. Paper discs soaked with a sample test on the concentration of 100%, 50% and 25%. Testing the sample three times with diffusion in replication. Observations based on whether or not there are drag power activity characterized by the formation of a clear zone. Zone nodes which form the widest measure, clear zone indicates the most effective antibacterial activity. The results showed that the three sample test that effectively inhibit the growth of the bacteria Salmonella typhi ATCC 14028 just brand "Z" with the content substance akif triclosan (0.1%) gained an average power of drag on kosentaris 100%, 50% and 25% of 29.00 mm, 25.33 20.00 mm and mm.
