Abstract

Diarrhea is defined as defecation with unformed stools or liquid with frequency more than 3 times in 24 hours. In dr.Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri Hospital, Diarrhea is among the top ten diseases that attack inpatients during 2016. Various opinions suggest that 10-20% of diarrheal diseases are caused by bacterial infection, requiring antibiotic therapy. Therefore diarrhea should not be taken lightly even if this condition is common. Diarrhea can be caused by viruses, bacteria, and the environment. The purpose of this study is to determine the evaluation of the suitability of the use of antibiotics in patients with diarrhea in inpatient installation dr.Soediran Mangun Sumarso in 2016 Hospital. This research uses non-experimental descriptive method with retrospective data retrieval. The research was conducted by taking data in medical patients with diarrhea patients in 2016 in dr.Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri Hospital Data obtained then analyzed and taken conclusion. From the results of this study found that the use of antibiotics in patients with diarrhea in dr.Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri Hospital 2016 is Ceftriaxone, Cefotaxime, Kotrimoxazole, and Metronidazole. The most commonly used antibiotics are Cefotaxime with a percentage of 41% and the corresponding antibiotic usage therapy is appropriate according to the precise, proper, accurate, and accurate indication of the drug, the exact patient, and the exact dosage can be stated that the percentage of indication accuracy 100%, 100% accuracy of drug, 100% patient accuracy and 100% dose accuracy.
