Abstract
Hyperlipidemia is an increase of lipids in blood plasma, which is characterized by increased levels of cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. Moringa leaves contain flavonoids, saponins and polyphenols that are useful as antihiperlipidemia. This study aimed to determine the effect of dried leaves extract of Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera Lmk.) And know the dose that can have an effect as antihiperlipidemia. This study used 30 male Wistar rats. Preparation of animal models with induced hyperlipidemia for 14 days. Therapy conducted over 14 days with test preparation of 32 mg/200 g BW, 65 mg/200 g BW, 95 mg/200 g BW. The data analysis used ANOVA with follow-up of Tukey’s test. From the research results known that all of doses of dried leaves extract of Moringa (Moringa oleifera Lmk.) can decreased triglycerides level and increased HDL serum in male Wistar rats. The dose of 63 mg/200 g BW are equivalent as simvastatin. Keywords: dry extract preparation, Moringa oleifera Lmk, triglisenida and HDL
