Abstract
Typhoid fever is a clinical syndrome produced by Salmonella typhi bacterial infection. Killing people with unhealthy individual hygiene and healthy poor environment. Management for the most important supplemental typhoid fever is the administration of antibiotics. Improper therapy will lead to surging medical costs and the greatest growth is the development of antibiotic resistance germs. This study is a descriptive study with retrospective retrieval data with inclusive criteria of patients ≥17 years, patients without other diseases. With the number of samples of typhoid patients there were 50 patients who met the inclusion criteria. The results showed that patients with typhoid fever in RSAU dr. Siswanto Karanganyar in 2017 were 27 patients with male gender (54,00%), female gender were 23 patients (46.00%), with duration of between 0-5 years 13 patients (26.00%), time 6-17 years 15 patients (30.00%), 12-17 years 22 patients (44.00%), and the most were as many as 45 patients (90.00%) cefotaxime 5 patients (10, 00%) .
