Abstract
Hypertension is a deadly disease for thousands of people. Hypertension is caused by an increase in total peripheral resistance due to narrowing of small arteries. Blood pressure increases when systolic pressure > 140 mmHg and diastolic > 90 mmHg occurs. The purpose of this research is to know the description of hypertension drug usage in hypertension patient in Inpatient Installation of RSUD Salatiga in 2017 and rational use of hypertension medication covering precise indication, correct drug, patient and exact dose in Inpatient Installation of RSUD Salatiga in 2017 against JNC VII and Depkes (2006). This study desingn using descriptive and that is non-experimental, taking sample retrospectively by looking at medical record in Inpatient Installation of RSUD Salatiga in 2017. The results showed that the most widely used use of monotherapy hypertension drugs was CCB (amlodipine) and the combination of the two most used drugs were CCB and ARB (amlodipine and irbesartan). The rationality of hypertensive drug use in hypertensive patients at Inpatient Installation of RSUD Salatiga in 2017 based on JNC VII is 100% covering right indication , 100% right based drug, 100% right dose, and 100% right patient. While based on the Depkes 2006, 100% covering right indication , 100% right based drug, 100% right dose, and 100% right patient. Keywords : Hipertension, medical record, rasionality.
