Abstract

Hypertension is a condition in which a person experiences an increase in blood pressure above normal which is more than or equal to 140/90 mm / hg. This study aimed to describe and determine the pattern of use of antihypertensive drugs in patients diagnosed with hypertension in inpatient hospital Glance Charcoal Boyolali. This research is a descriptive study conducted retrospectively in hypertensive patients treated in inpatient hospital Pandan Arang Boyolai in January-June 2013. Data taken include: the identity of the patient, primary or comorbid diagnosis, dosage and drug classes in use , Analysis of the data include antihypertensive drug prescribing patterns that class and dose of drugs used and the general picture of hypertensivepatients. The results showed that antihypertensive drugs that are often used include ACE-inhibitors, Calcium Channel Blockers and Diuretics, with the greatest number yaiutu class of ACE-inhibitor (captopril) amounted to 39.2%. Evaluation of the use of antihypertensive drugs singly widely in use is the ACE-inhibitor group (28.6%) and the use of the highest combination is an ACE-inhibitor + diuretics (14.9%). The use of antihypertensive drugs in hypertensive patients hospitalized Pandan Arang Boyolali District Hospital in January-June of 2013 is not in accordance with the usual dose as stated in the literature JNC7 and Dipiro Pharmacotherapy.
