Abstract

Schizophrenia is a disease of the brain persistent and serious involving behavior psychotics, concrete thinking, difficulty in obtaining information and interpersonal relationships, and difficulties in solving problems. This research purposes to know using patterns of antipsychotic in patients schizophrenia which included a drug combination, dose, many patients accepted the quantity of medicine and conformity the use of antipsychotic based on formulary hospital and Guideline Texas Medication Algorithm Project Procedural Manual. This research uses descriptive method with a retrospective data collection. Data used is data secondary obtained from card medical record patient hospitalization schizophrenia which contains about the identity of the patient, include patient name, gender, age, long live care, diagnose, and the drugs used iiving therapy for patient. Data obtained by the analyzed by formulary hospitals and Guideline Texas Medication Algorithm Project Procedural Manual. Based on research, obtained data use antipsychotic single most widely used risperidon is about 95 prescription (3,91%), whereas the combination therapy is the most widely used chlorpromazine (CPZ) - haloperidol (HLP) - Trihexyphenidyl (THP) as much as 486 prescriptions (20%). The suitability of the use antipsychotics in terms of type and dosage based on Hospital acquired Formularium percentage of 78,30%, and suitability of the use antipsychotics in terms of type and dosage based on Guideline Texas Medication Algorithm Project Procedural Manual 88,89%.
