Abstract
Diarrhea is a common problem in children. Bacterial infection is one cause of liquid diarrhea or bloody diarrhea. Management of therapy with antibiotics, the use of irrational antibiotics can increase the toxicity/ side effects of antibiotics. The aim of this research is to know the most antibiotic usage in Installation of Inpatient, antibiotic compliance to Formulary (2016) and rational use of antibiotics which include precise, proper, accurate, and accurate indication of doses in patients with diarrhea in hospital. Tjitrowardjo Purworejo in 2016 against WGO (2012) and Acute Diarrhea Management (2015). This study was non experimental by collecting data retrospectively based on the patient's in-patient medical record with diagnosis of diarrhea in 2016, analyzed descriptively. Sampling was done by purposive sampling method and amounted to 78 patients. The results showed the most antibiotic use was cefotaxim. The suitability of antibiotics based on FRS is 100%. Rationality of antibiotics for diarrhea on children in inpatient installation of RSUD Dr. Tjitrowardojo Purworejo in 2016 covering right indication 23,1%, right based drug on WGO 2012 19.1% while based on Acute Diarrhea Management 21.2%, 100% right patient, and right dose based on WGO 19.1% while based on Acute Diarrhea Management 21, 2%.
