Abstract
Anuma is a simplicia that have been studied containing coumarin compound. Coumarin is a class of phenylpropanoid compounds. Coumarin and its derivatives have many biological activities such as a blood anticoagulant. The aim of the study was to find out the effect of Anuma herbs ethanol extract on bleeding time and blood clotting on white male rats, and to know the most effective dose in increasing bleeding time and blood clotting. In this study the test animals were divided in 5 treatment groups and each group consisted of 5 male white rats, i.e. group I was anuma extract of 9,18 mg/200 g BW, group II was anuma extract of 18,36 mg/200 g BW, group III was anuma extract of 36,72 mg/200 g BW, group IV (positive control) was acetosal of 3,7 mg/200 g BW dose, group V (negative control) was distilled water. This study was conducted by abserving the bleeding time and blood clotting in mice and then recorded before and after treatment. Observation of all doses of ethanol extract of the herb anuma showed the effect of an increase in bleeding time and blood clotting time is the most effective herbal anuma ethanol extract at a dose of 18.36 mg/200 g BW (group II) with an increase in bleeding time was 139.6 ± 15, 66 seconds and blood clotting time was 73.8 ± 10.85 seconds.
