Abstract

The TromboAspilet® tablet is one of the drugs used as an antipyretic alnalgetic, in small doses often used for anti-platelet treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the acetosal levels in expired and not yet expired TromboAspilet® tablets to meet the requirements of drug quality. Determination of acetosal levels in expired and expired tablets of TromboAspilet® tablets was performed by ultraviolet spectrophotometry with 95% ethanol solvent at 226 nm wavelength and tested for validity based on accuracy, accuracy, limit of decection, and limit of quantitation. Acupuncture for TromboAspilet® tablets expired for 90.82% and an expired TromboAspilet® tablet of 59.34%. The results showed that the exposure of assos- tals in expired TromboAspilet® tablets did not meet the standard tablet requirements according to Pharmacopoeia Indonesia edition IV (1995) while the TromboAspilet® tablet had not expired to meet the standard requirements of tablets according to Pharmacopoeia Indonesia edition IV of not less than 90.0% and no more of 110% of the amount stated on the label.
