Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a group of heterogeneous disorders characterized by elevated levels of glucose in the blood or hyperglycemia. This study aims to determine the use of antidiabetic drugs for diabetes mellitus type2, the suitability of the use of antidiabetic drugs compared with hospital formulations, Perkeni 2015 and ADA 2016. The research was done by using secondary data collection method that was obtained from medical record of patient. The data has been obtained by analyzing with non-experimental descriptive method that is by taking data in restropektif. The data were collected by purposive sampling method. The results showed that the antidiabetic drugs used orally were metformin, glimepirid, glycidone, acarbose and diamicron, while the parenteral drugs were novorapid, novomix, apidra, lantus and lavemir. Compliance of antidiabetic drug use based on FRS is 100%. The suitability of the use of antidiabetic drugs based on ADA 2016 indication precise as 100%, drug precise as 94,2%, patient precise as 100%, and dose precise as 94,2%. While based on Perkeni 2015 is indication precise as 100%, drug precise as 100%, patient precise as 100%, and dose precise as 100%. Keywords : Diabetes mellitus, Use of Antidiabetes, Rationality
