Abstract

The purpose of compensation to motivate employees to work. Workers will be more motivated if they believe that their performance will be recognized and rewarded The population in this study was a nurse at the Hospital Dr. Moewardi, using purposive sampling techniques Sampling The samples all remained in the ward nurses Hospital Dr. Moewardi Surakarta with minimum term of 1 year, the amount of 80 respondents. Techniques of data analysis using regression analysis, processing of data using SPSS version 17, Data processing results can be concluded: The results of the t test is: t count of 8,291 while the t table (½ 0:05; 78) = 1.999 for t count> t table then Ho is not supported, which means that the real motivation effect (significant) to (on) performance. Effect of compensation on the results of the t test is: t count of 6,472 while the t table (½ 0:05; 78) = 1.999 for t count> t table then Ho is not supported, meaning that the compensation affect significantly (significantly) on (on) performance. The existence of significant influence of motivation, compensation together on performance, by looking at the results: Adjusted R Square coefficient of 0.511, meaning that 51.1% performance is affected by motivation and compensation.
