Abstract
Vitamin C is a substance nutrients contained in the food, the very needed by body human. Sources of vitamin C which is important in food especially originated from fruits and vegetables. One of them fruit that contains vitamin C ie fruit strawberries (Fragaria x anannasa Duch.). Research this do for knowing how many vitamin C levels and more content high in fruit strawberry fresh and drinks strawberry packaging. Research this the sample used that is fruit strawberries (Fragaria x anannasa Duch.) and 4 brands drinks strawberry packaging that is sold in Hypermaket Malangjiwan, Colomadu, Karanganyar. Test qualitative do with reactor Iodine, KMnO4, Fehling A and Fehling B on test qualitative show results positive. On test quantitative use method Spectrophotometry UV-Vis with wavelength maximum 266 nm. Results research vitamin C levels on fruit strawberry (Fragaria x anannasa Duch.) with method spectrophotometry UV-Vis are vitamin C levels on fruit strawberry and drinks strawberry packaging with vitamin C content of fruit strawberry is 0.21% as well drinks strawberry packaging ie 0.01%; 0.12%; 0.97%; 0.16%. Based on research this vitamin C levels on sample C more high compared with three of beverage drinks other packaging and fruit strawberries.
