Abstract
Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. Most of the tuberculosis bacteria invade the lungs, but also on other organs. The disease is mostly found in the productive age group. This study aims to describe the use of anti-tuberculosis drugs and compliance with the Keputusan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia nomor 364/MENKES/SK/V/2009 on Guidelines for Tuberculosis Control (TB) in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in Balai Kesehatan Paru Masyarakat (BKPM) Klaten within period 2012 and 2013. Data for this study were drawn retrospectively from the medical record installation of pulmonary tuberculosis patients which includes: demographics, history of OAT, the data radiology chest X-ray and sputum examination. Then the data were analyzed using descriptive methods. From the research results that the picture of the use of anti-tuberculosis drugs in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in Balai Kesehatan Paru Masyarakat (BKPM) Klaten in the period 2012 and 2013 decreased in smear positive patients, but increased in patients with smear negative. The increase is due to some of smear positive patients in 2012 to a negative smear in 2013. Conformity alloy selection for anti-tuberculosis drugs in 2012 only 50% of patients with smear-positive and smear negative 42.86% of patients in accordance with the standard guidelines of the Department Kesehatan Republik Indonesia in 2009. Discrepancy is due to the improper administration of a dose kombipak OAT and OAT on providing FDC amount of drug given is not in accordance with the patient's weight. Whereas in 2013 increased patient compliance becomes 65.31% and 82.14% of smear positive sputum smear negative patients. The increase is due OAT FDC election in 2013 more than in 2012.
