Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Price and Wilson 2005). Tuberculosis disease in Indonesia is the fourth in the world after India, China and South Africa (PPTI 2012). The purpose of this research is to know the pattern of primary drug resistance category 1 to patients with pulmonary tuberculosis at the Center for Public Health Pulmonary Surakarta, and shows the primary drug resistance percentage category 1 to patients with pulmonary tuberculosis at the Center for Public Health Pulmonary Surakarta. The method used is descriptive with retrospective data retrieval. Data obtained from laboratory medical record be adapted to patients with pulmonary tuberculosis drug resistance antituberculosis in period January 2012 to December 2013. From 21 subjects research in 2012 primary resistance obtained registration (7.22%) with primary monoresiten as much as 14 people (66.67%), primary poliresisten as many as 6 people (28,56%), TB-MDR primer only 1 person (4.76%). Whereas in 2013 as many as 60 subjects primary resistance obtained of research primary monoresisten (18.58%) with as many as 42 people (70%), primary poliresisten as many as 11 people (18.34% ), TB-MDR as many as 2 people (3.33%). From the above it can be concluded the research figures the biggest primary resistance in 2013 in comparison to the year 2012. So the need for special attention to relevant parties to overcome the resistance of this primer. Keywords: primary resistance, drug category 1, pulmonary tuberculosis patients
