Abstract

Availability of different types of antibiotics in the clinic was also brings difficulties for practitioners impact, especially in choosing appropriate antibiotics, which are the most safe and effective in a patient. Then in the selection of antibiotics should be seriously considered. Staphylococcus aureus is a normal flora in humans but can become pathogenic due to certain factors that cause pathogens in body tissue. Staphylococcus aureus was isolated using selective media VJA and tested their sensitivity to several antibiotics using media MHA. This research was conducted at the Microbiology Laboratory of the University of Setia Budi Surakarta in December2012. Results of the second sensitivity test of Staphylococcus aureus sensitive to Gentamicin, Ceftriaxone, Erythromicin, Penicillin, Kanamycin, Ciprofloxacin, Chlorampenicol. And resistant to Ampicillin and Tetracycline. There are differences in the antibiotic amoxicillin, the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus derived from patients are sensitive, whereas the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 is resistant.
