Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is a serious problem, because it is the most cause of death compared to other infectious diseases. This disease affects about 75 % of patients in the most productive age group (15-55 years), so it is necessary to control TB infection using antituberculosis drugs. Dr. Moewardi Hospital Surakarta is a referral hospital for tuberculosis patients. The purpose of this study was to determine usage pattern and compliance of anti-tuberculosis drugs based Ministry of Health Indonesia 2011 and dan Indonesian Pulmonary Physician Board 2011. This study was descriptive survey study with retrospective data collection. The samples in this study were patients diagnosed tuberculosis smear-positive which was productive aged and receiving anti-tuberculosis drug. Data was analyzed by univariate and bivariate analyzes. The results showed that 43 patients (90%) prescribed single dose antituberculosis drug (generic) and 5 patients (10%) prescribed Fixed Dose Combination (FDC). Total category 1 patients were 34 patients (71%) and 14 patients (29%) were category 2. In category 1 patient, 31 patients (94%) were compliance to Ministry of Health Indonesia 2011, 2 patients (6%) was not compliance. In category 2 patient, 12 patients (80%) were compliance, whereas 3 patients (20%) were not compliance. The level of compliance with PDPI 2011 showed that in category 1, 25 patients (76%) were compliance, 10 patients (67%) were not compliance. In category 2 patient, 8 patients (24%) were compliance, while 5 patients (33%) were not compliance. Keywords : anti tuberculosis drugs, tuberculosis, hospitalized patients of RSDM
