Abstract
Drinking water is the most important human needs. Increased human population and environmental degradation is one of the causes of water depletion. Water contaminated waste from a variety of organic materials to mesofil bacteria . Coliform is bacteria causes diarrhea. The studies aimed to count mesofil bacteria and coliform bacteria in refills drinking water in the district Sukoharjo by a bacteriological examination. Bacteriological examination carried out by using the method of ALT (Total Plate Count) to determine the number of mesofil bacteria that grow on the medium Nutrient Agar (NA) and the method of MPN (Most Probable Number) to count the number of coliform and Escherichia coli in media Lactose Broth (LB) and Brilliant Green Lactose Bile Broth (BGLG). Sampling of refills drinking water is done by clustering methods. Results from the study showed that four of 26 depot refills drinking water (DAMIU) in district Sukoharjo contained mesofil bacteria with contained which DAMIU `PT` from Sub district Mojolaban is 3,6 x 101, DAMIU `VC` from Sub district Nguter is 3,4 x 101, DAMIU `NQ` from Sub district Baki is 1,1 x 103, DAMIU `FI` from Sub district Gatak is 6,2 x 103 . Results from the method of MPN test to showed that four DAMIU contained coliform, which DAMIU `PT` contained 0,3 coliform per 100 ml, DAMIU `VC` contained 2,0 coliform per 100 ml , DAMIU `NQ` contained 15,0 coliform per 100 ml and DAMIU `FI` 21,0 coliform per 100 ml. Based MINISTER OF HEALTH OF INDONESIA NUMBER 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010 on DrinkingWater Quality Requirements, refills the drinking water of four DAMIU the above does not meet the requirements of microbiological parameters becouse contained coliform, where the terms listed are the maximum levels allowed for the coliform bacteria per 100 ml is 0 (zero). Key words: refills drinking water, mesofil bacteria, coliform
