Abstract
Enon Kalkon an aromatic compound having a group α, β unsaturated carbonyl ketones. Kalkon compound and its derivatives are reported to have various biological activities, among others, as an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and is cytotoxic against HeLa cells. This study aims to synthesize compounds enon 1 - (3,4-diklorophenyl) -3 - (2-furanyl) prop-2-en-1-on using the initial material pdikloroasetofenon and furfural. Sinteis compound 1 - (3,4-diklorophenyl) -3 - (2-furanyl) prop-2-en-1-on use of materials and initial p-dikloroasetofenon furfural using NaOH catalyst in ethanol for 3 hours at room temperature 27 - 30ºC. Compound purity test results sinteis performed using thin layer chromatography, gas chromatography, and melting range test. Elucidation structure using UV spectrophotometry and mass spectrometry. The results showed that the catalyst synthesis NaOH was obtained compound 1-(3,4-diklorophenyl)-3-(2-furanyl)prop-2-en-1-on, shaped brownish yellow, with a melting point of 92.5%, Yield 94.43%, and the purity of the compound reaches 83.23%. It can be concluded that the results of spectral synthesis of compounds 1-(3,4-diklorophenyl)-3-(2-furanyl) prop-2-en-1-on use of the material and the initial p-dikloroasetofenon and furfural shows the chemical structure in line with forecasts.
