Abstract
Antibiotic prophylaxis used for decreasing infection after surgery. Need to known about indication, choosen, way dan how long antibiotic has given to medical patient with hope regimen dose of antibiotic can fullfilled, with it be to be decrease pre valence of antibiotic resistance. If antibiotic resistance can not detected and bacteri still pathogenly, it will to be a refrain disease and it will difficult to cure. This research aims to known the system of using antibiotic, the data took retrospectively and the research descriptive got from patient medical record that got atibiotic as their prophylaxis surgey at Sragen Region Public Hospital at 2012 and 2013. Data that took from antibiotic are the group, name, dosage form, strength, sum of uses, and directions for use. Result of antibiotic prophylaxis calculated as Defined Daily Dose (DDD) per 100 days (patient) and according criteria of DU 90%. The research is results that prophylaxis antibiotic for surgery according quantitive analyze with ATC/DDD method and DU 90% are cefotaxime, ceftriaxone, cefazolin and amoxycillin. The most antibiotivc that used as prophylaxis for surgery is the third generation of cephalosporin, they are ceftriaxone and cefotaxime, with percentage used at 2012 is 90% and at 2013 is 90% too. Antibiotic that used appropiate with Hospital Formularium is cefotaxim and ceftriaxone. Key word: Evaluationofmedicineused, antibiotic, prophylaxissurgery,ATC, DDD
