Abstract

Hypertension is a clinical condition in which an increase in the systolic blood pressure ranged from 140-160 mmHg and 90-95 mmHg diastolic. Lifestyle factors and diet can increase the incidence of hypertension. Hypertension can also cause a variety of complications one of which is chronic renal failure. Therefore necesarry research in descriptive. This study aims to determine the use of antihypertensive drugs in hypertensive patients with chronic renal failure and to determine the suitability of the use of drugs by Hospital Formulary and JNC VII. This research is a descriptive study with retrospective data collection. Data on the use of antihypertensive and inpatient visit data taken from a Medical Records antihypertensive class and name, dosage form, strength, and usage rules. All the data is then processed to determine the quantity of antihypertensive use in the inpatient unit DDD/100 day and Drug Utilization (DU 90%). The results of this study are based on methods ATC / DDD and DU 90%, note that the antihypertensive drugs used are from the class of ACE inhibitors, Beta Blocker, CCB, ARBs, diuretics, and some of the other groups. Most use of diuretics (furosemide) in 2011 (36,13 %) and 2012 (33,06 %). Uniformity according to Hospital Formulary in 2011 (92,31%) and 2012 (92,86%) and with the JNC VII 2011 (46,15%) and 2012 (50%). Keywords: antihypertensives, chronic renal failure, ATC / DDD, DU90%
