Abstract

Allergic reaction is a reaction type I hypersensitivity reaction mediated by mediators released by mast cells or basophils. Bitter herbs and phyllanthus herbs have flavonoid, quercetin aglycone of flavonoid which is routinely isolated from various medicadplants and also have a stabilizing action. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of single and combination of bitter herbs and phyllanthus herbs extracts cutaneous reactions as allergy to the active. Research has been conducted to determine the ability of ethanol extract of bitter herbs and phyllanthus herbs in inhibiting active cutaneous anaphylactic reaction in male wistar rats. Anaphylactic reactions induced by ovalbumine 0,1% in Al(OH)3 1% by volume of 5 ml/kg bb subcutaneously at days 7th and 14th Antiallergic effect marked by a bluish lump and diameter on the backs of rats were clarified by injecting 1,5% evans blue ml/kg dose of 1,75 ml/kg bb rats. The research showed that the combination of ethanol extract of bitter herbs and phyllanthus herbs can inhibit active cutaneous anaphylaxis reaction induced by ovalbumin with a combination dose of 60 mg/kg : 40,5 mg/kg bb.
