Abstract
The Hospital Blood Bank (BDRS) is a service unit in the Hospital responsible for the availability of blood for safe, quality, and sufficient transfusions to support hospital health services . Through the efficient use of the blood component of packed red cell based on crossmatch transfusion ratio that meet ideal standards, it is expected that there will be no excessive blood demand, so there is no waste of supplies, resources and materials. This study aims to determine the efficiency of blood use based on crossmatch transfusion ratio in BDRS UGM. This study is a descriptive study conducted in UGM hospital retrospective retrieval data using total sampling in the period January to December 2017, The total number of patients in the period January to December was 1423 patients with total crossmatch demand of 2451. Data obtained processed by calculating the ratio of blood demand to blood used or transfused. The ideal value of transfusion crossmatch ratio using the Blood Transfusion Service Standard of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia 2015. Based on the results of the study obtained the value of C/T ratio in the emergency room is 1.148, in the Intensive ward with a C/T ratio of 1.255, in the Nakula ward at C/T ratio of 1.191, in the Gatot Kaca 3 ward of C/T ratio of 1.529 , in the Gatot Kaca 4 ward room the C/T ratio was: 1.368, in the Srikandi 3 room the C/T ratio was 1.182, in the Srikandi 5 ward, the C/T ratio was 1.184, in the Hemodialysis ward the C / T ratio was 1.007, and in the Srikandi room 4 C/T ratio 1.098 ratio. This shows the value of crossmatch transfusion ratio in BDRS UGM during the periode of Januari to December 2017 meets the ideal standard with a C/T ratio of less than 2-2,5 in accordance with the Standard of Blood Transfusion Service of the ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in 2015.
