Abstract
Beluntas leaves medicinal plants that have a symbiotic content flavanoids, tannins, alkaloids, essential oils. This study is conducted to determine the effect of extracts ethanol of beluntas leave (Pluchea indica Less) on the inhibition of increase in AST and ALT as well as the correlation betwen the dose of extracts ethanol of beluntas leave with increase inhibitory effect of AST and ALT in male white rat induced with paracetamol. This research uses thirty rats divided into 6 groups. Groups I as a normal control group were fed and drinking. Groups II as a negative control given 1% CMC suspension. Groups III as positive control given suspension curliv plus® 21,6 mg/200 g BW. Groups IV, V, VI as a test solution behavior of ethanol extract of beluntas leaves 270 mg/200 g BW, 540 mg/200 g BW and 1080 mg/200 g BW. For 7 days and on the 7th day given suspension paracetamol 2,5 g/kg BW. All groups on days 0 and 8 were calculated inhibition increased AST and ALT . then the result were analyzed by paired T- test. The results showed that administration of extracts ethanol of beluntas leaves have any effect hepatoprotector because it can inhibit the increase of AST and ALT in male white rat after paracetamol induced as well as the correalation of beluntas leaves greater inhibitory effect of rising rates AST and ALT in male white rat after induced paracetamol. key words : beluntas leave, paracetamol, AST, ALT.
