Abstract
Breadfruit is a traditional medicine society that has been used to treat various diseases. Chemical constituents in breadfruit leaves are saponins, polyphenols, tannins, hydrocyanic acid, flavonoids, whereas acetylcholine breadfruit leaves that have yellow-containing phenols and quercetin. The aim of this study was first, to determine the antifungal activity of n-hexane fraction, ethyl acetate, water from breadfruit leaf ethanolic extract against Candida albicans. Second, to findout how to Kill Minimum Concentration of fraction n-hexane, ethyl acetate and water from breadfruit leaf ethanolic extract against Candida albicans. Third, to determine the fraction of the most effective killing of Candida albicans. Extraction was done by percolaction using 70% ethanol, and followed by fractionation. Fractionation using the solvent n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and water. Experiment in done by the delusition method with concentrations of 50%, 25%,12,5; 6,25%; 3,125%; 1,56%; 0,78%; 0,39%; 0,195%; 0,098% . The result of this study is the fractionation of n-hexane, ethyl acetate, water have antifungal activity against Candida albicans. Minimum killing concentration of n-hexane fraction was 3,125%, ethyl acetate fraction was 1,56%, and 50% water fraction. The most effective fraction of the fraction of n-hexane, ethyl acetate and water is the fraction of n-hexane.
