Abstract

Tuber garlic lanang ( Allium schoenoprasum L. ) is one of plant commonly used as an alternative treatment and beneficial sets as antibacterial. Chemical content garlic lanang that serves as an antibacterial is flavonoid, saponin, essential oil, and alisin. The purposes this is test antibacterial activity extract etanolik, fraction water, fraction ethyl acetate and fraction n-hexane from bulbs garlic lanang ( Allium schoenoprasum L. ) against Salmonella typhi ATCC 13311 by method dilution. The extraction of garlic bulbs lanang (Allium schoenoprasum L.) extracted by maceration with solvent ethanol 70% then continued with fractionate water use, ethyl acetate, and n-hexane. Extracts and fractions tested antibacterial activity using the method of dilution and concentration of 25%, 12.5%, 6.25%,3.13%, 1,57%, 0.57%, 0.4% 0 .2%, 0.1%, 0,05% for the specified value of the KBM (minimum concentration of kill). The results of this research indicate that extracts of etanolik, n-hexane fraction, the fraction of water, ethyl acetate fraction has antibacterial activity against Salmonella typhi ATCC 13311 KBM value respectively 25%, 25%, 12.5%, 6.25%. Ethyl acetate fraction has the most effective antibacterial activity than etanolik extracts, the fraction of water and n-hexane fraction.
