Abstract
Urethra infection is the propagation of microorganism in the urethra, one cause of which is Kleibsella sp. The objective of research was to find out the sensitivity pattern of ceftriaxone, cotrimoxazol, ciprofloxacin and amoxicillin antibiotics against the Kleibsella sp resulted from urine isolation of urethra infection in Surakarta Dr. Moewardi Local General Hospital in March-April 2013. Kleibsella sp bacterium was isolated from the urine of patient suspected as developing urethra infection in Dr. Moewardi Local General Hospital using Mac Conkey media that was then identified microscopically and biochemically. The sensitivity test was conducted to find out the resistibility of each antibiotics and to find out the sensitivity pattern of antibiotics against Kleibseilla sp bacterium. Kruskall Wallis test was used to process the data of antibiotic resistibility diameter. The result of research showed that out of 30 samples, only 18 samples contained Kleibseilla sp. Amoxicillin antibiotic showed 100% resistant result, cotrimoxazol 50% intermediate, and 50% sensitive, ciprofloxacin 29.63% intermediate and 70.37% sensitive, ceftriaxon antibiotic 100% effective against Kleibsella sp bacterium. Ceftriaxon was the most effective antibiotic to cure the urethra infection caused by Kleibseilla sp bacterium. ______________________________________________________________ Keywords: antibiotic, urethra Infection, Kleibsella sp.
